Our Mission
The Problem
Today, Alzheimer’s disease is often diagnosed too late. By the time symptoms emerge, irreversible brain damage has already occurred, leaving little opportunity for medical intervention. Early detection is needed to identify the early stages of dementia, but healthcare barriers make this infeasible. Brain scans (including MRI, PET, and CT) cost thousands of dollars, often need a referral from your physician, and are frequently unavailable in rural settings. These factors deter individuals from seeking an early diagnosis.
The Solution
Benefits of early detection include expanding access to treatment options, enrolling in clinical trials, and optimizing lifestyle to delay and even prevent the onset of disease. Screening tools are most effective when used as early as possible. Therefore, we have developed an engaging, inexpensive, and convenient screening tool to detect the initial signs of Alzheimer’s disease.
Mobile Memory is committed to developing an AI algorithm to analyze speech patterns and assess an individual’s likelihood for onset of dementia in the future. Our goal is for users to understand their risk for dementia and then follow-up with their healthcare providers. We believe that no one should have to live a lifetime of memories only to lose them at the end — as we’ve experienced with some of our loved ones.
